Essential Functions:

  • Perform daily electrical maintenance
  • Troubleshoot faulty electrical equipment
  • Troubleshoot PLC and computer program problems
  • Make required changes to programs as needed
  • Check and reset breakers and other electrical equipment
  • Calibration of machine centers
  • HMI, optimizer, PLC and other controls/automation hardware upgrades plant-wide
  • Manage projects that are predominantly controls/automation oriented
  • Scanning and data collection installations for the plant site
  • Analyze machine center performance and tune, refine and adjust as needed
  • Maintain production camera system and coordinate new camera installations
  • Keep PLCs, drives, SMCs, and related modules up-to-date with the latest firmware
  • Design HMI and Panel-View screens to increase operator awareness and ease of troubleshooting
  • Program reader boards
  • Provide back-up support for plant-wide IT
  • Report maintenance problems and assist millwrights as needed
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Journeyman license required
  • Formal electrical training/experience
  • Industrial/manufacturing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of PLC's (Allen Bradley preferred)
  • Knowledge of computers and testing equipment
